Mulino Bianco

Mulino Bianco

Did you know that the Mill made famous by the Mulino Bianco commercials is the Mulino di Chiusdino, a real mill of the thirteenth century in the hills near Siena? Thanks to its great popularity, this Mulino has been restored and has become a strong tourist attraction, but the history of this Italian brand begins earlier ...

In 1974, thanks to an idea by Giovanni Maestri, the "Mulino Bianco" brand was born, which in October 1975 came out on the market with the first production of biscuits.

The first 5 biscuits are still among our favorites today: Tarallucci, Girotondi, Molinetti, Campagnole and Galletti!

From the very beginning, the Mulino Bianco biscuits stood out for the simplicity of the recipes, the goodness of the ingredients, and the iconic yellow packages, reminiscent of the baker's bags and the color of the biscuit dough before they are baked!

Since 1980 Mulino Bianco started producing also the soft snacks that we love today - Flauti, Plumcake and the delicious Crostatina mini Tarts - and since 1985 they added savory baked goods such as breadsticks and crackers!

In less than 50 years, Mulino Bianco became one of the favorite brands for the Italian Breakfast, and we can’t remember a time when we did not have at least one of their delicious products in our pantry!
